Substation no.41 at the Breakfast Creek Hotel

Substation no.41

Substation no.41 is the Brekky Creek's 'destination bar' that has been created in the shell of a disused electricity substation building on the Breakfast Creek Hotel site.
The building had not been used since the seventies and had lain derelict. It has now been refurbished to make the most of its exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings and 'warehouse' feel.

It features a 15 metre long timber bar, which once supported the overnight storage bin at the old CSR Sugar Refinery at nearby Teneriffe.

The Substation bar team serve an exciting array of original and classic cocktails with our specialty being our infused vodkas and gins.

With 16 beers on tap including Asahi, Beez Neez, Big Helga, Kronenbourg 1664, Stella Artois, Hoegarden, Heineken, Fat Yak, James Squire Golden Ale and mainstream favourites Carlton Draught, XXXX Gold, Pure Blonde, Carlton Mid, Hahn Super Dry, Toohey's Extra Dry and Cascade Light. The Substation also stocks a variety of imported packaged beers and Australian premium beers.

On weekends the Substation has DJ's playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights with a mix of lounge, house and funked up retro tunes.

Join our residents DJ Lok Lazy and Athol and be sure to keep an ear out for selected special guests!

Open from midday until late 7 days a week.
